Google Checkout
Google Checkout is one of three of the most popular online payment providers (the other two being PayPal and Amazon Checkout / Amazon SimplePay). Google Checkout streamlines the purchasing process, allowing Internet users to make secure, fast purchases online.
Google Checkout securely stores your shipping address information and your debit card or credit card information, so that the online stores they purchase from do not receive your person's personal credit card information (thereby helping prevent credit card fraud). By storing, Google Checkout also makes online purchases much faster (because people don't have to type in shipping address and other necessary information).
In addition to storing credit card information securely, Google Checkout also provides instant tracking status of all purchases, and fraud protection. Google Checkout cannot be used for person-to-person payments (like PayPal). Despite the fact that PayPal owner eBay doesn't allow Google Checkout for eBay purchases, Google Checkout has gained in popularity.
Google Checkout is one of dozens of products and services offered by Google, Inc.
